OVERVIEW

Kimiko was born on Hinode, a part of the Lynx tribe in the western desert, as the middle child of five. Her parents were the tribe's two calling mages, but she had joined the group of guards and riders. When she was in her early teens, a small group of members of the Fellowship of Starlight ambushed them during the night, killing both of her parents. After making sure her younger siblings were cared for, she left to do some thinking. She ran into one of Delwyn's ambassadors, and was entranced by the idea of a world with proper laws. She managed to get her way to Hinoiri, then lied about her age to join the military. Kimiko probably would have done all right for herself using her talents for tactics and covert ops, but she came to Delwyn's direct attention when she was wounded preventing an assassin from killing him. This earned her a direct line up to one of his favored officers.

PERSONALITY

In her public persona, Kimiko is startlingly efficient, brusque and cool. While she is respected, most people don't really like her. She does warm up a bit in private -- she comes across as a very reserved and mature individual. When she does get angry, she's very much like a cold angry -- her voice gets sharp, but she doesn't raise her voice or lash out blindly. If she's angry at you, she's more likely use her special brand of psychology and mental magic. Kimiko has a small streak of idealism -- she honestly thinks Delwyn's rule would be best for her world. She doesn't care either way about the spirits.

Kimiko has a few hobbies -- she's an amateur musician (she has a reed flute), and knows a bit of stage magic. She's also quite proficient at both crossbow and pistol, and can ride several different domesticated animals.

ABILITIES

Kimiko is a specialist in mental magic (spells that are very similar to telepathy). She is also a natural shapeshifter, and is able to alter her form to most humanoids about her size, though she can't change her weight or alter her overall body structure.
